Writing for Wellness is a science backed therapeutic activity used in many settings across both the public and the private sector, from professional development, to elderly care, addiction therapy to wellness retreats. Now this wonderfully simple approach to wellness is available in achievable half hour workshops, you can download and do at your own pace, anywhere, any time.

How it works.
Exercises are specially designed to switch off our ‘inner-critic.’
This allows us to delve deep, accessing memory and emotion from the unconscious mind.
Writing these thoughts down, allows us to see them.
And seeing them allows us recognise patterns and habitual ways of thinking.
It allows us to understand the unprocessed emotion we carry.
It validates that emotion, because the page is your listener, reflecting back perfectly what you are thinking.

This introductory course consists of four modules. You can work at your own pace, dedicating just 30 minutes a day, or week. You are also free to choose the order.
Writing for Self-Care - a specific memory or event is explored and then reframed as we learn how to show ourselves the kindness it is so easy to show others. You will finish the session calm and enlightened, with a clear idea of how to better care for yourself going forward.
Writing for Clarity - learn how to first dive deep into the emotional resonances of a current problem or relationship, and then how to distance yourself from it as you begin to see it from a different perspective. You will finish with fresh insight, a shift in mindset and the reframing of a challenge
Writing for Self-Discovery - learn how to step outside of your skin and begin to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. Having uncovered your blind-spots, and surprised yourself, you will finish with a reinvigorated sense of self, new energy and much improved self-reflection skills.
Writing for Creativity - exploring how writing creatively about real life can offer new perspective and solutions, you will lose yourself in the deeply mindful process of creative writing and finish with an incredible sense of achievement as we complete a piece of writing.

About your coach.
Cary J Hansson is an award winning, best-selling author whose work has been featured in leading UK publications such as OK Magazine and Woman’s Own. With over 150,000 copies sold, her books have been described as ‘heart-breaking, heart-warming and hilarious.’
Ten years of living through her character’s emotions taught her the value of writing as a therapeutic tool, and led her to becoming a certified Writing for Wellness Coach.

How do I access the workshops?
You can download and play them on any digital device.
How will I know what to write about?
I will give you specific instructions and example sentences to get you started.
How will I know how long to write for?
All workshops are thirty minutes, they have been filmed in real time, so it will feel like I am there with you. I will give you time prompts when we are coming to the end of an exercise, otherwise you forget about time.
I can’t spell and am embarrassed by my handwriting.
The normal rules of writing do not apply here. We don’t worry about spelling, or grammar or punctuation. We don’t cross anything out and we try to keep our pen or pencil moving all the time. This way we learn to silence our inner-critic, allowing thoughts, perceptions and prejudices we’re not even aware of, to rise to the surface.
Who is going to see this?
No-one. Except you, and that’s where the magic comes in as you begin to see what you really think!
